Well, that’s quite a bold statement.
The Lakers are waiting just to be a healthy team overall. It’s bad enough that up-and-coming Julius Randle is out for the year. He had shown a lot of improvement in the four weeks of preseason play alone. Nick Young is still recovering from his thumb injury. Ryan Kelly and Xavier Henry are playing like their normal, confident selves, just yet.
Charles Barkley said, “I’m not going to eat another meal, until the Lakers win…Let me rethink that.” We’ll let you rethink that Charles Barkley, but if you stuck with your word and have a weight goal in mind, it’ll be easier for you to reach it.

has shown some flashes, but isn’t consistent.

As a unit, the Laker roster as a whole is improved from last season. That may be hard to believe with an 0-5 start, but the Western Conference didn’t just get better in terms of talent, they also got better by building chemistry from last season alone.
This current team is trying to find the same chemistry on both ends of the floor. For this team, it’s a battle of talent and chemistry altogether.
It may be awhile until the Lakers get their first win.
