MVP: I want to give this to Anthony Davis, but I want demean the Lakers that badly. Instead, I’ll give it to Kobe Bryant, the most competent Laker for most the night. He was red-hot to start the game, but cooled off quite quickly. He still managed 33 points and more than doubled the next highest scoring Laker.
LVP: Even prior to getting ejected, this award still went to Ronnie Price. His ejection sealed the deal. In 17 minutes, he managed 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 0 points. Again, I’ll continue to ask, why does he play over Jordan Clarkson?
Stat of the Night: 25/12/6. As in the stat line from Anthony Davis in points, rebounds, and blocks. No player in the league is playing better than Davis right now, and he is quickly ascending to the top of the best players in the league list. With Durant out and LeBron struggling, is Davis the early MVP frontrunner?
