In an attempt to get him more playing time and hopefully a better flow for the game, the Lakers will send Jordan Clarkson down for to the D-Fenders for a NBA D-League game tomorrow before recalling him for Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
Lakers plan to send Jordan Clarkson to D-Fenders for tomorrow’s game, will be back with Lakers for Sunday vs GSW

The move isn’t as drastic as it sounds. The Lakers can essentially move Clarkson back and forth between the D-League and their NBA roster at will. If anything, it’s a great move for Clarkson, who has lacked consistent playing time this year.
Going to the D-League gives him an opportunity to log a big chunk of minutes and regain a flow, especially offensively.
Most recently, the Lakers sent Ryan Kelly down to the D-League for five games last season. For comparison, Kelly averaged 25.2 points and 7.6 rebounds in those games.
Clarkson could be a big beneficiary of this move. If he can develop a better rhythm, he could find his way in the rotation for more consistent minutes. With fans clamoring for more minutes for the rookie, this could offer a chance to hone those skills and prove his worth for the Lakers.
