Game Grades: Los Angeles Lakers routed by Boston Celtics

20. Final. 113. 18. 96

MVP: Tyler Zeller. I can’t give it to any Laker tonight because this was a bad effort in a rivalry game. The Lakers came out flat, uninterested, while Boston came out hungry. He finished with 24 points on 10-11 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds and dismantled the Lakers frontline.

LVP: Lots of choices tonight. I’ll go with Wesley Robert Boozer. Or Carlos Johnson-Sacre. Either way, Carlos Boozer, Robert Sacre and Wesley Johnson combined to go 2-21 from the field, 13 rebounds, 2 assist, 2 block, and 4 points. That’s as bad as it gets folks.

Stat of the Night: In 31 minutes, Rajon Rondo had a +/- of +40. In 33 minutes, Kobe Bryant‘s +/- was -29. That about sums it up.

The Starters

B. 33 min, 9-21 FG, 1-3 3P, 3-3 FT, 22 PTS, 3 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 3 TO
I mean, Bryant was arguably the best Laker out there tonight and still had a poor outing.
. SG. Los Angeles Lakers. KOBE BRYANT

Los Angeles Lakers. JORDAN HILL. A. 22 min, 6-6 FG, 1-1 FT, 13 PTS, 4 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 1 BLK, 2 TO

While you’d still like more rebounding-wise, can’t expect anything more in scoring. Just have to wonder why he only played 22 minutes.
. C

Los Angeles Lakers. JEREMY LIN. B+. 19 min, 5-8 FG, 1-1 3P, 3-3 FT, 14 PTS, 0 REB, 2 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 2 TO
For most of the night, <a href=. PG

WESLEY JOHNSON. F. 26 min, 0-5 FG, 0-3 3P, 0-0 FT, 0 PTS, 3 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 1 BLK, 2 TO
Yeah, that stat line speaks for itself. With <a href=. SF. Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers. CARLOS BOOZER. F+. 18 min, 1-6 FG, 0-0 FT, 2 PTS, 7 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 2 TO
I only want to distinguish between Johnson and Boozer, but they both played awful.
. PF

The Bench

C+. 22 min, 5-14 FG, 1-3 3P, 5-6 FT, 16 PTS, 3 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 0 TO
He was one of the few in the fourth quarter still showing some emotion in a rivalry game. Still an off-night for him.
. SG. Los Angeles Lakers. NICK YOUNG

Los Angeles Lakers. RONNIE PRICE. D-. 24 min, 3-10 FG, 1-4 3PT, 0-0 FT, 7 PTS, 1 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 0 TO
Probably Price’s best shooting night in quite a while. That’s not a joke. Seriously. It isn’t.
. PG

C. Los Angeles Lakers. ROBERT SACRE. D-. 26 min, 1-10 FG, 0-0 FT, 2 PTS, 3 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 1 BLK, 1 TO
Just a bizarre stat line from him. Why is he shooting 10 times? Why is he played 26 minutes?

SG. Los Angeles Lakers. WAYNE ELLINGTON. B. 19 min, 5-7 FG, 1-1 3P, 0-0 FT, 11 PTS, 5 REB, 3 AST, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 0 TO
<a href=

B-. 30 min, 2-4 FG, 2-6 FT, 6 PTS, 9 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 1 BLK, 0 TO
While Davis has regressed from his hot start, he’s still a better option than Boozer down low at this point.
. C. Los Angeles Lakers. ED DAVIS
