    The latter can’t be traded until mid-January, but the former is eligible to be traded at any point from now until the February trade deadline. As is, if the Lakers decide to buy or sell, Jeremy Lin will be a big part with his large expiring contract.

    So far this season, Lin has struggled with consistency. He is averaging 10.7 points a game, his lowest amount since breaking through with the Knicks in his second season. However, we’ve watched him follow up impressive double-doubles with pedestrian nights. As often as he’s been a playmaker, he’s been a non-factor.

    In the end, the Lakers (and more specifically, Kobe Bryant) and Lin might not be the match we had hoped they would become. With some desirable traits to his game, there could be teams in the market for Lin. We take a look at the five likeliest trade destinations for Lin.
