A Lakers Christmas Poem

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through Lakerland,

the Lakers are in the cellar thanks to the Buss fam.

We thought it would get better when MDA resigned,

then Phil left for New York because Jim said they’re fine.

We drafted Julius Randle and it made Lakers fans cheer,

then he broke his leg in the first game and is out for the year.

‘Melo was courted; LeBron didn’t even give L.A. a glance,

it’s funny that Jim Buss actually thought we had a chance.

Mitch went bargain shopping thinking saving money would do us a favor,

we traded for Lin and got Boozer off waivers.

Byron Scott was hired as head coach, the job of his dreams,

then they handed him a roster equivalent to a YMCA team.

Jordan Hill is a double-double machine and Ed Davis has been a surprise,

but Wes Johnson is still a bust and Robert Sacre makes us roll our eyes.

Jordan Clarkson sits on the bench, but still has some perk,

Steve Nash continues to get paid without showing up for work.

Kobe passed MJ, as fans we are blessed,

but his body’s breaking down, let’s give him some rest.

Nick Young a.k.a. Swaggy is must-see TV,

his interviews are great as he pulls up for 3!

The product on the floor doesn’t give us much reason to cheer,

as Jim laughs while Chaz pours him a beer.

We’re headed to the lottery again which is tragic,

can someone please call Phil, Jerry West and/or Magic?

As fans Jeanie, this season is like no other,

give us our Christmas wish and fire your brother!
