23. Kobe Bryant has more buzzer-beaters/game-winners than Jordan
Admittedly, this is an imperfect stat to find an exact figure on. What is considered a buzzer-beater or game-winner? While one person/site might consider a shot in the final 10 seconds a game-winner, another might consider a basket with less than five seconds left a game-winner.
As a result, I scoured the web trying to find as much as I could. I found some statistics from this Reddit post, some information from YouTube videos including the one listed above and this video. The result was that Bryant is, at the very worst, slightly ahead of Jordan in all-time buzzer beaters, especially after his heroics against the Pacers on Sunday night.
For roughly the last 15 years, Bryant has been THE guy to take the biggest shot for the Lakers save for the season he missed due to injury. Rarely was a play drawn up in a must-score situation for anyone other than Bryant. And damn near each and every time, Bryant would make the shot. In his prime, there was nothing opponents feared more than Bryant with the ball in a close game with the clock ticking down.
