Nick Young has been doing his part toward building a brick arena that may one day help bring an NFL team back to Los Angeles.
After the Lakers lost another tough game to the Trail Blazers on Sunday night, Young commented on his recent shooting struggles that have haunted him:
Nick Young: "I have to stop thinking so much and play my game and go out there and have fun."

Young finished the night with nine points and 1-8 from three-point range over 18 minutes. In the past four games, Young has logged a shooting percentage of .273, .154, .267, and .231. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been any better from behind the arc over that span as he has gone 3 for 24.
Despite these dismal numbers, Young’s confident and fearless mindset hasn’t faltered:
Nick Young: "No matter what I've got to keep my energy high."

Coach Byron Scott and Guard Jeremy Lin added their own input on Young’s recent woes:
Byron Scott on Nick Young:"Every shot that he misses, it's like the end of the world to him."

J. Lin on Nick Young (1/2): "Our whole lineup today was just trying to get him going. Try to get him easy ones, see it go down one time."
— Serena Winters (@SerenaWinters) January 12, 2015
J. Lin continuing on Nick Young (2/2): "I'm not worried about him, he's putting in the work. He's working hard. he's doing what he can do"

The Lakers were able to compete for three quarters with one of the better teams in the NBA; however, not having a closer during the fourth quarter ultimately cost them in the end. With star Kobe Bryant sitting yet another game for rest, Young’s scoring ability was desperately needed as no other Laker was able to fill the void.
Guard Damian Lillard on the other hand picked up his game in the end as he lead his team with 34 points—17 of which came in the fourth quarter—along with a highlight dunk over Jordan Hill and shot blocker Ed Davis.
The Lakers next play on Tuesday night against the Miami Heat who will be coming in with momentum after a big win against the crosstown rival Clippers. Hopefully, Young will turn things around by then.
