Maybe one of the more confusing requests for a trade comes from Phoenix where Suns center Miles Plumlee, who has reportedly requested a trade to seek more playing time. While the Duke graduate had seen a decrease in minutes per game this year, he’s still apart of their rotation.

However, if Plumlee does want a way out, the Lakers could look to him as a future prospect. The Suns were reportedly looking for a future first-round pick for Plumlee, among other assets. The Lakers could use the Rockets draft pick they own to entice the Suns. Considering the Rockets pick will fall in the late-20s or even into the 30s, the Lakers could opt to take a more “sure thing” in Plumlee than risk a prospect.

Considering Plumlee is a better prospect going forward as a center than someone like Robert Sacre, the Lakers could move in on Plumlee.
