Lakers News: Jordan Hill Leaves Knicks Game With Leg Injury

Jordan Hill, one of the few Lakers who has been playing at a high level, was forced out of Sunday afternoon’s game in New York against the Knicks with an apparent quad injury. He will not return to the line-up tonight.

Hill is considered arguably the most likely player the Lakers could trade away considering how well he’s played this season. On top of that, his contract could expire this summer, making him all the more desirable.

The Lakers plan on updating Hill’s status come Monday, which hopefully is a short term injury with the Lakers in the middle of a road trip and, more importantly, the trade deadline approaching. For a team that is near the bottom of the standings – and near the top of the tank rankings – the Lakers very well could be looking to move Hill for more draft picks or younger prospects.

With the Lakers this year, Hill is averaging a career high 12.5 points with 8.1 rebounds and nearly a block a game. Almost completely across the board, Hill is averaging career highs as the only mainstay in the Lakers starting line-up this year through various rotation and line-up changes.

For the sake of both Hill and the Lakers, we hope that the big man gets better soon!
