The Lakers scored 13 points in the fourth quarter and they allowed the Magic to get back into the game and force overtime. The Lakers would go on and lose the game in the extra period, losing yet again after getting off to a good start.

Jeremy Lin had a good showing, he finished the game with 14 points on 6 of 8 shooting, including 2 for 2 from long distance. He only played 22 minutes, but Lin’s impact offensively is what helped the Lakers build the lead in the second quarter.
While losing is never fun, some Laker fans are very happy their team lost yet another game. Securing their draft pick this season is a priority to some, but for the players that’s simply not the case. According to Serena Winters of Lakers Nation, Lin isn’t focused on all the tank talk, he’s still trying to win every game:
The Lakers aren’t very good, that’s no secret. As a competitor, you never want to lose, but a fan has a different perspective. In this day and age of social media, we can see trends and tanking has become a popular term around the Lakers. The players know what’s at stake, but some of them won’t even be here next season, so they’re focused on winning now and not losing for the future.
Lin will be a free agent next season and it’s likely he doesn’t return to the purple and gold, but in the mean time he’s going to go out on the floor and give it his all. The Lakers have lost a lot of games this season, but they’ve also been competitive, but they seem to always lose the game at the end.
The Lakers really need their draft pick this year, hopefully the ping pong balls bounce their way.
