Lakers: The Search for All-Star Talent through the NBA Draft

Who Else Is Out There?

Of course there are other names worth mentioning.  Fans may ask about Stanley Johnson, Kristaps Porzingis, Justise Winslow, and Emmanuel Mudiay.  Each of these players may rise and fall as the NCAA season continues into March Madness.  Draft measurements and athletic testing affect draft placement dramatically.

Overall, there are a lot of players worthy of a top-5 pick.  If the Lakers are able to draft well, regardless of where the pick lands between #1 through #5, there will be a double bonus for the upcoming season.

After all, Laker fans watched Julius Randle for the NBA preseason and one regular season game.  Within one month, his mid-range jumpshot improved dramatically.

Next season, the Lakers could start the year with two lottery picks in the starting line up.  Either of them, or both, can become an All-Star down the line. Isn’t that enough to get excited about? Who would you like the Lakers to draft?
