Top 10 Lakers Plays Of The 2014-15 season To Date
By Harry Burden
4. Kobe Bryant vs. Clippers – October 31st
Aah, this one will take you back. Not even those disgusting jerseys could ruin this play. In his first field goal attempt of the evening, Bryant squared up to Matt Barnes, charged down the baseline, spun his body and finished with authority over the lingering veteran….Barnes, that is. We were all asking whether or not Bryant could still get it done after playing just six games of NBA basketball in 18 months. Well, he wanted to take all the doubt out of your mind for you. How kind.
3. Kobe Bryant vs. Hawks – November 18th
32,000 career points for Vino, capped off with style in the area where he’s hoovered up a vast majority of that sum: in the mid-range with a gorgeous and-one fadeaway jumper. Yeah, he made the free-throw too. Go get ’em, Kobe.
2. Nick Young vs. Spurs – December 12th
Remarkably, this is Young’s first and only entry in the top ten list. So far, it hasn’t been a very Swaggy season for the man whose efforts in the last campaign saw him rewarded with a four-year, $21.5m deal in the summer. Nevertheless, we all know and love him for one reason: that flair. You would have thought that the Spurs would have done their homework. Young doesn’t care if he’s lobbing the ball from way, way, way downtown; in fact, he looks for any opportunity to do so. Well, ask and you shall receive, and with the game hanging in the balance, the Jester had the last laugh.
