The Lakers have not won a game in this road trip and there’s no reason why the Grizzlies will have any trouble putting them away. On top of being more talented than the Lakers, injuries continue to play a huge role and the Lakers are limping into the FedEx Forum.
The Grizzlies are one of the better defensive teams in the league and the Lakers will be without one of their top scorers. According to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News, Nick Young will miss the game because his left knee is swollen:
This is the sixth straight game Young has missed and his knee continues to be the issue. Swaggy P has not been able to entertain Laker fans with his on court antics, but more importantly, he can put the ball in the hole.
Young is averaging 13.4 points per game this season, but has had trouble being consistent. Whether it’s injuries or his relationship with head coach Byron Scott, Young has not had the season he had hoped. While he is an entertaining player, the Lakers have been terrible, so it’s not as fun as we had hoped.
