Lakers News: Jordan Clarkson Reads to 2nd Grade Class

When the Lakers bought the 46th pick from the Washington Wizards in last year’s NBA Draft, no one expected that it would result in one of the best rookies in the 2014 draft class.

Clarkson averaged 11.9 points, 3.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds this past season. The Missouri product only appeared in 59 games, which only makes you wonder what Clarkson could have done if he would have played a full season.

It’s tough times in Laker land, but at least they can be optimistic about Clarkson. He looks to be the real deal on the court, but he might be equally impressive off of it. Clarkson tweeted out a picture of him reading to a group of second graders.

Not only is Clarkson already hitting the gym, but he’s using his spare time to read to some youngsters. It looks like Clarkson went back to Missouri to give back to his community and those second graders now have a memory they won’t forget.

Currently, Clarkson is hitting all the right notes. Keep this up, and the rising rookie may become the next face of the franchise.
