Lakers News: Rockets Don’t Have Good Grasp On History

As a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, it’s difficult to watch these playoffs with out Kobe and the Lakers. It’s been a tough three year stretch here in Los Angeles and fans can’t wait for the Lakers to return as a contender.

The other team in Los Angeles is currently in a tight series with the Houston Rockets and Game 4 will be played tonight at the Staples Center. The Clippers hold a 2-1 series lead, but the Rockets will be looking to tie it up and head back home to Houston for Game 5.
The Rockets’ official twitter account tweeted out a Mother’s Day tweet where they reminded everybody about their Game 4 win against the Lakers in 2009 on this very day. Here’s the tweet:
Nice try Houston. While the tweet is accurate, they forgot that they eventually lost the series. The Lakers would go on to win the series in seven games and they would eventually capture the NBA title.
The Rockets have made some headlines because of their twitter account earlier in the postseason, but this one is just puzzling. It might be time for them to hit the history books, because at the end of the day, winning the series is all that matters.
