The Lakers won’t be title contenders next season, but they should be much better last year. It’s highly likely this could be Bryant’s last year in the NBA, so at least he can go out with a respectable team.
If you want a chance to see Bryant well before the season starts, Jamele Hill of ESPN will interview the Black Mamba for the BET Genius Talks series being held at LA Live on June 27th.
It’s not everyday you get to see Bryant talk in person, this is a great opportunity for all the die-hard Kobe fans to hear the Mamba speak about life and basketball.
Bryant won’t be the only prominent athlete at this event. The best pound for pound fighter in the world Floyd “Money” Mayweather will also be a part of the event according to Arash Markazi of ESPN:
Mayweather and Kobe in the same building? That’s a lot of titles under one roof. One dominates the hardwood, the other dominates the ring and both will be at this event. Mayweather will speak at 5PM and will talk about his latest fight with Manny Pacquiao.
Bryant will be the last headliner of the night. He will have an intimate conversation with Hill where he is likely to talk about a wide range of topics, including retirement and the state of the Lakers.
Every time Bryant speaks, he always has something entertaining to say, so the Mamba will not disappoint.
