Lakers News: Julius Randle to Host Youth Basketball Camps

The Lakers are optimistic about the direction this team will be taking moving forward. Next year they will have Julius Randle, Jordan Clarkson and the number two overall pick of this year’s draft.

That young nucleus plus the addition of free agents this Summer will give the Lakers a much better team than last season. With Kobe probably playing in his last season of his illustrious career, the Lakers should manage to win more than 21 games.
Randle is one player than can come in and contribute right away. He is essentially coming in as a rookie although he’s spent a year in the NBA watching from the sidelines. Randle should be 100 percent by the start of the season, but in the mean time he is helping some youngsters improve their game.
The Wildcat will be hosting his own youth basketball camp in Los Angeles and Kentucky:
The first camp will be held in Kentucky from June 15th to the 17th. The Los Angeles Camp will be from August 5th to the 7th. The camp is open to kids from the K-8 range and that will get them about “18 hours of elite instruction” according to the camp website.
The campers will get to learn from Randle through various drills and practices. It’s not everyday you get to learn from a player of Randle’s caliber, so this is a great opportunity for these kids to really improve their game.
