The Warriors are the new champions of the NBA, which means the season is finally over. It’s been difficult to root for the Lakers these last couple of years, but the second overall pick has Laker fans optimistic.

The Lakers won’t be competing for a championship soon, which is a shame considering Kobe Bryant will likely retire next season. Ideally, Kobe would retire as the Lakers went on one final run for an NBA title, but one can only dream.
Kobe tweeted about the Cavs and Warriors on Wednesday morning and reminded everyone how old he is. The Mamba has been around a long time and remembers when the players in the Finals were just kids:
Bryant will be turning 37 this summer and next year will be his 20th season in the NBA. Some of the guys that will be drafted are as old as Bryant’s NBA career, so the young guys that just won the championship were “preteens” when he first met them. Bryant has known LeBron since he was a teenager, but now’s he’s the seasoned vet.
The Mamba also congratulates the Warriors in the process, but his tweet was definitely about his age. Father time catches up to everyone and Bryant is probably looking at his last season in the NBA. Hopefully he gets to go out on his terms and can actually make it through the season.
