It’s safe to assume that we all expected draft day to be hectic with rumors flying all over the place. We are still hours away from the draft, but several reports have already surfaced about what the Lakers might do with the number two pick.

We’ve already read that the Lakers could be taking D’Angelo Russell. Shortly thereafter, it was reported that the Lakers were leaning towards taking Okafor. Now, both of those reports have been put the side as it seems not even the Lakers know who they will pick.
According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the Lakers remain undecided between Okafor and Russell:
This is the latest report that’s surfaced, but it won’t be the last. Shelburne is a reliable source, but with so many conflicting reports, it’s difficult to fully believe anything that is reported. For all we know the Lakers might still be shopping the number two pick, so don’t be surprised if you hear another rumor regarding the Lakers and DeMarcus Cousins.
Ultimately, we won’t know who the Lakers are picking until Adam Silver announces it in Brooklyn. Actually, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports will likely tweet it out before we hear it on television.
If the Lakers are indeed still undecided, Mitch Kupchak has the final say. If you were the GM, who would you choose, Okafor or Russell?
