Lakers News: Jeremy Lin Signs with the Charlotte Hornets
By Nate Edelman
From the bright lights of New York to Houston to Hollywood, the Jeremy Lin adventure train’s next stop is with…the Charlotte Hornets.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the fifth year guard out of Harvard has agreed to a two year deal worth over four million:
The Mavs and the Lakers sign and trade talks must now be put to an end, as Lin has moved on. Even though Lin did not have a successful year as a Laker, he can be a serviceable backup for a cheap price as Charlotte looks to turn themselves around under owner Michael Jordan. Lin averaged 11.2 points as a Laker, and most importantly, came with a first round pick when the Lakers traded for him last summer.
Lin had a great fan base rooting him on here in Los Angeles, but his relationship with Byron Scott was rocky at times and didn’t get to see the floor as much. Lin proved he can still be a serviceable player in this league and now gets a chance to prove himself once again, this time in Charlotte.
Best of luck Jeremy.
