On Aug. 22, Taylor Swift’s concert was interrupted inside Staples Center by none other than Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant.

At just 25 years old, Taylor Swift is one of the world’s most recognizable music stars. She cemented her status with a record-breaking 16 sold out shows in Staples Center.

In order to properly celebrate the achievement, the “Black Mamba” walked out on stage which not only surprised the crowd but Swift as well by the guest appearance.

Bryant was quick to point out that being on stage with Swift made him the coolest dad in the world to his two daughters, and he echoed the importance “16” carries in Los Angeles.

However, Bryant didn’t stop there.

He proceeded to surprise Swift with her own banner that will hang in Staples Center forever. The mega pop star seemed genuinely shocked and grateful for the banner as the crowd went wild during the unveiling.

There were so many people cheering at once. A man with no comedic integrity might say, you could even see “Sparks Fly.”

Swift’s banner hangs next to the rest of the championship banners on the Staples Center’s walls. There is one team that noticeable doesn’t have any banners to hang inside Staples and never figures to.

That said, Swift’s banner took up a lot of space, but it’s not like the Los Angeles Clippers need that space.

Everything has since changed for the once-sorry franchise, who famously covered the 16 championship banners their big brother lays claim to last season in an effort to distance themselves from the imposing legacy the Lakers have left on the city.

This begs the question: will the Clippers also cover Swift’s banner?

Will they instead hang a banner of head coach Doc Rivers apologizing to a fan?

Maybe they’ll just put up a large blowup of new owner Steve Ballmer dancing to Fergie. Perhaps, the Clippers will just leave a blank space there.

It’s unclear whether it was unintentional for Swift to choose sides between the two rivals. She must have not known about their… “Bad Blood.”

I can’t wait to get “Back to December” and watch these two teams square off in the “Battle of LA” on Christmas day.

The basketball season can’t come soon enough. In the meantime, it’s quite amusing to take some friendly digs at the expense of Clippers fans.

Don’t worry. Clipper fans can simply just… “Shake it Off.”
