The Lakers have still failed to chalk up a win this season but look to do so tonight in Los Angeles against the Dallas Mavericks.
After back to back disappointing games, the Los Angeles Lakers face the new look Dallas Mavericks with high hopes.
Currently, the Lakers are Top 5 in scoring, averaging 112.5 points per game, but dead last points in allowed, giving up 122.0 points a contest. With the various offensive additions the Lakers made, it was assumed that offense was not going to be the problem, and so far this assumption is correct.

Though a self-proclaimed defensive minded coach, Byron Scott has done little to affirm this title. Dallas’ offense ranks in the middle of the pack, granting the Lakers a golden opportunity to work on what little defensive prowess they have so far.
The Lakers’ young guards have struggled heavily against opposing point guards — Rajon Rondo and Ricky Rubio — but look for them to take advantage of an injury riddled Deron Williams.
On account of tired legs, Coach Scott toned down shootaround, so expect the Lakers to come out full of energy.
