2. The Lakers Aren’t The Sixers
This is a statement of fact, but also something extremely comforting for Lakers fans: the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t the Philadelphia 76ers. Things are certainly bad in Los Angeles right now with losses mounting and a reported dissension in the locker room stemming from an aging superstar not exactly coming into the last stage of his career with grace. However, that’s actually not as bad as it could be.

Honestly, the 76ers at this point are just wholly depressing. Sure, the team has Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor on the roster, but that only means so much with the D-League caliber players that are flanking the two lottery picks while the team’s other high draft picks are overseas (Dario Saric) and injured and out for the second-straight year (Joel Embiid). Things are truly as low as they can be for an NBA team in Philadelphia right now.
Sure, the Sixers are being told to “trust the process” over and again while the Lakers don’t even seem to have a process to trust. But talk of processes only matters so much when there isn’t even a starting five worth of NBA players on the roster in Philly; at least the Lakers aren’t in that spot. More than anything, though, fans should be thankful that the Lakers aren’t the Sixers because two wins is still greater than zero wins.
