Kobe Bryant isn’t the only player whose prolific time in the NBA is winding down to a close
As Lakers fans, we have seen Kobe Bryant at his worst and we have seen him at his best, and despite our recent outcries, he will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
The saying goes, “how quickly they forget,” and how true it is. We live in a “what have you done for me lately” world and lately, Kobe hasn’t done much. That said, it doesn’t diminish all of the incredible things that he has accomplished throughout his storied career.
The Black Mamba isn’t the only superstar whose time is coming to an end and YouTube user, Basketball Forever, better known as Ishaan Mishra, is providing basketball fans everywhere the nostalgic goodbye that they have been waiting for.
Per video description, “Every couple of weeks a new mix will be released,” in an “epic 12 part series” so aptly entitled the “End of An Era.”
Players include Paul Pierce, Tim Duncan, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Allen Iverson, Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Manu Ginobili, Kevin Garnett, and our very own Kobe Bryant. The series will also include a Final Mix, “featuring legends of the generation like the 04 Pistons, Gilbert Arenas, Jason Kidd, and other players who didn’t get their own mix.”
Per Reddit, the maker also revealed that other players may get thrown into the mix.
"Thanks for all the positive comments. Really appreciate the feedback. If you guys like this series enough, we might just have to go all out and make this a 20 part series and give guys like Jason Kidd, Pau, Shaq etc… their own mixes"
After watching just the intro, it can be assumed that this series is going to take fans on an emotional rollercoaster regardless of their allegiances. For lack of a better word, prepare to be hit right in the feels.
