Saturday night, the Lakers get their second look at the Portland Trailblazers, this time away from home at the Moda Center
Saturday’s game represents the second chance for the Lakers’ young guards to prove themselves against the blistering hot duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum.
In their last meeting on November 22, D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson lost the battle of the back court, allowing the Blazers’ guards to combine for 49 points on 53 percent shooting.

This is not the only story line that should be monitored. In the Lakers last game on Tuesday night, Kobe Bryant shot a career worst 1-for-14.
With that in mind, it will be interesting to see how Kobe comes out Saturday night against the Blazers. Is he going to try and shoot his way into a rhythm like he did in the past two games or will he try to get his teammates involved, picking his spots carefully.
Lastly, Julius Randle has also been in a slump, so look for him to be aggressive against the Portland Trailblazers who don’t have a true rim protector to deter him as he aggressively drives into the paint.
