Kobe Bryant: Letter To Fans Already For Sale on eBay

A copy of Kobe Bryant’s letter to fans at STAPLES Center on Sunday night is already on eBay

Kobe Bryant, as part of his retirement announcement on Sunday prior to the Los Angeles Lakers matchup with the Indiana Pacers, gave fans attending the game a special treat. Every fan in attendance received a special letter from Kobe addressing the Lakers, the fans, and basketball.

The letter itself is beautifully worded and looks incredible as well. It’s something that not just Lakers fans, but basketball fans in general could keep as a keepsake for years to come. It’s one of those pieces of memorabilia that’s always going to be important and that would look great hanging on a wall in a frame.

Apparently one fan in STAPLES Center thought that the letter would look great in a frame, but on someone else’s wall as a copy of the letter has already been posted for bidding on eBay:

In less than an hour of bidding, the highest bid for the letter had already climbed to $570. With almost three full days left on the auction, that number is only going to get increasingly higher.

Regardless of price, though, it’s unfathomable that someone would sell that letter. Sure, it’s going to go for a hefty amount of money, but anyone who cares about the NBA at all would have trouble parting with it. At least someone who really will treasure it will be able to put a value on it and purchase it to keep, now.
