Who Should Lakers Fans Vote Into the All-Star Game?

The NBA has opened voting for this years All-Star Game in Toronto, but who should Lakers fans vote for?

This year’s voting for the NBA All-Star Game has begun and that brings fans of the Los Angeles Lakers the opportunity to vote for their favorite players. As always, the starters in the game are selected based on fan votes.

It’s already assumed that Kobe Bryant will receive yet another start in the All-Star Game, despite his disappointing performance this year. This is assumed because of the size of the Lakers fanbase and their dedication to getting a legend one last time to shine in the All-Star Game. So, if Lakers fans have this much power over the process, who else should they try to send to Toronto this year?

Every true Lakers fans should include the young trio on their ballot. Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and D’Angelo Russell deserves your votes if you call yourself a Lakers fan. Randle and Russell may not be allowed to start for Byron Scott, but the power is in the hands of the fans for All-Star Weekend. Wouldn’t it be great for Lakers fans to show Byron how much power they have and what they want by letting these two start the All-Star Game while coming off the bench in his system?

If Lakers fans have the power to get Kobe another start, then they have the power to achieve this, too. All it will take is for fans to work together and vote every day to make this happen. Wouldn’t having four players from one of the league’s worst teams make the game just that much more fun?

And while you’re at it, the online ballots give you an option for a fifth player. Why vote for someone deserving when you can show that no matter how miserable the product on the court is, the Lakers are still relevant enough with fans to dominate the All-Star Game.

Why not give that fifth spot to Roy Hibbert and Show him what it’s really like to play in LA with a passionate fan base? Or perhaps you’d rather give your last spot to Metta World Peace, as a sort of thank you for his contributions to the Lakers last championship. Larry Nance Jr. is even an option, if you want to dive headfirst into the Lakers rebuild and declare they have four young All-Stars on their roster.

With so much power in the hands of the fans, anything is possible. Show the rest of the NBA how much Lakers fans still care and send this disappointing team to All-Star Weekend!
