Lakers fans need a Christmas song all to themselves this holiday season
It’s that time of the year again; the holiday songs are playing in department stores, the lights are going up on houses and fans will be celebrating the holidays.
Lake Show Life toiled away all night with Santa’s elves to come up with a gift of song for our readers; a holiday song specifically for Lakers fans. We decided to reprise an old classic that virtually everyone is familiar with, even if you don’t know every word. It’s a great way to look at some gifts that fans would love to have this holiday season.
Sung to the tune of “The 12 Days of Christmas,” we present our original version, “The 12 Lakers Days of Christmas:”
"On the First day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:A Lakers coach fans really loveOn the Second day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:Two rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the Third day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the Fourth day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:Four perfect quarters Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the Fifth day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:Five players willing to play tough Defense!Four perfect quarters Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the Sixth day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:Six Swaggy threesFive players willing to play tough Defense!Four perfect quarters Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the Seventh day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:Seven star reservesSix Swaggy threesFive players willing to play tough Defense!Four perfect quarters Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the Eighth day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:Eight Randle dunksSeven star reservesSix Swaggy threesFive players willing to play tough Defense!Four perfect quarters Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the Ninth day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:Nine putback attemptsEight Randle dunksSeven star reservesSix Swaggy threesFive players willing to play tough Defense!Four perfect quarters Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the 10th day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:10 less Mamba minutesNine putback attemptsEight Randle dunksSeven star reservesSix Swaggy threesFive players willing to play tough Defense!Four perfect quarters Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the 11th day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:11 fewer dreadful losses10 less Mamba minutesNine putback attemptsEight Randle dunksSeven star reservesSix Swaggy threesFive players willing to play tough Defense!Four perfect quarters Three great tradesTwo rookies startingand a Lakers coach fans really loveOn the 12th day of Christmas, the Lakers gave to me:12 minutes of hustle a quarter11 fewer dreadful losses10 less Mamba minutes Nine putback attempts Eight Randle dunks Seven star reserves Six Swaggy threesFive players willing to play tough Defense!Four perfect quarters Three great trades Two rookies starting and a Lakers coach fans really love."
Are you in the NBA/holiday spirit now? We sure hope so. At the very least, we hope that some of these gifts actually come at some point this season, not just around Dec. 25.
