What three things can Lakers fans take away from the hard-fought loss against the Warriors on Thursday

Most Los Angeles Lakers fans didn’t expect much from the team on Thursday night in ORACLE Arena as they took on the defending NBA Champions in the Golden State Warriors. That was only furthered when an albeit hobbled Draymond Green was surprisingly made active when the plan seemed to be to rest him for this game initially.

However, the Lakers made a game of it in the first half as they trailed by only three points going into halftime and seemed to be able to withstand and even answer every blow that the Warriors were landing early on.

Ultimately, the Warriors couldn’t be contained coming out of the locker room for the second half and the defending champs pulled away for a large victory. However, the fight that the Lakers showed in that first half—even against an obviously fatigued Warrior squad—was impressive and left at least somewhat of a good taste in the mouth of the team and the fans.

Even in the loss, there were obvious takeaways from Thursday night’s game. However, these are the three biggest things that we learned from the loss to the Warriors.
