Thursday night the Lakers look to add to their 10 wins on the season taking on the Pelicans in New Orleans
The last time the Lakers saw the Pelicans in Los Angeles they were lucky enough to miss Anthony Davis, who was out with a bruised lower back. This time LA will have no such luck.
Averaging 23 points, 10 rebounds and upwards of 2 blocks a game, the committee of Roy Hibbert, Brandon Bass, Julius Randle, and hopefully, Tarik Black, are going have their hands full.
Before their impressive victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves Tuesday night, the Lakers last victory was actually against these same Pelicans on January 12th, so expect the Pels to be looking for revenge.

Seeing Byron Scott‘s coaching adjustments last game, which was almost a complete turnaround from what he’d be doing the entire season, it appears that the rumors about his job security being determined by the remainder of the season are true.
However, how long Scott can keep up the charade, avoiding his baser instincts to scold his young players with cliches like “Man up,” we’ll just have to wait and see. If he had any hair to tear out, you’d bet your tail he’d be doing so tonight.

Prediction
Byron Scott returns to form, sacrificing his reputation for the greater good. The Lakers fall to 10-42 on the season, inching ever closer to catching the Philadelphia 76ers for the coveted worst overall record. Man, that was sad to write.
