Thursday reports surfaced that the Houston Rockets were shopping ex-Lakers big man, Dwight Howard
For those of you devastated by Dwight Howard’s decision to spurn the Los Angeles Lakers for redder pastures and the Houston Rockets, now is your time to rejoice.
Though rumors have been circling the league that the Rockets were looking for suitors for 11 year veteran, Dwight Howard, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical clarified the situation.
Earlier in the season reports surfaced that Howard and Rockets’ star, James Harden, didn’t really get along and that could be playing a large part in what is currently happening with the organization.
Per Woj,
"Howard, 30, plans to exercise an opt-out in his contract this summer to become an unrestricted free agent, and uncertainty surrounding the commitment both sides are willing to make has pushed Houston general manager Daryl Morey toward seeking potential trades on the market, league sources said."

This is a hilarious twist of fate for the Howard saga to take, especially for Lakers faithful, as he publicly disrespected Kobe Bryant and the Lakers organization on multiple occasions.
It is more than doubtful that the Lakers even look the Rockets’ way at this trade deadline, but it sure does serves as a quick laugh break from the horrible season Los Angeles is currently enduring.
In recent contests, Howard has seemed disengaged and apathetic, so a change of scenery could be what the 30 year old center needs.
That said, Dwight has burnt bridges and gotten coaches fired in nearly every city he’s landed in, so it will be interesting to see if the Rockets actually make a move before the deadline considering how low his stock is right now.
