Lakers All Star, Kobe Bryant, and Gregg Popovich shared a moment at All Star practice on Saturday
From giving away shoes to the endless post game press conferences, this season is far from a normal Kobe Bryant season.
Renowned for being a cold blooded killer when he steps onto a basketball court, fans have seen Kobe smile more than he’s smiled his entire career over the course of the first half of this season.
Throughout their respective careers, Kobe Bryant and Spurs’ coach, Gregg Popovich, have served as each other’s nightmares on a season to season basis. However, with the announcement of Kobe’s retirement tour, fans have been able to see a different side from two of the most competitive basketball minds in NBA history.

With Kobe Bryant’s Lakers virtually eliminated from the Playoffs and the Lakers-Spurs rivalry finally coming to an end, Bryant and Pop have now embraced each other as old friends.
In a playful game of one on one, Coach Pop demonstrated his version of how to guard Kobe Bryant, finally realizing that it is much easier said than done.
After being hit with a Kobe forearm, Pop reaches and even hilariously jumps to block his layup.
As mentioned previously, Kobe Bryant’s retirement tour is the gift that keeps on giving.
