Craig Sager was trying to interview Kobe Bryant at halftime of Kobe’s final All-Star Game, but LeBron James had something to say

Kobe Bryant completed the first half of his last NBA All-Star Game of his illustrious career with the Los Angeles Lakers, so it only made sense that the legendary Craig Sager would interview the Black Mamba at halftime. However, Kobe’s friend and rival LeBron James wouldn’t let it go by peacefully.

Sager was trying to get serious with Bryant about the whole spectacle of being honored at the All-Star Game and what happened in the first half. Before Kobe could get a full sentence out, though, LeBron came barging in between the Lakers star and Sager to playfully yell about Kobe trying to dunk on him:

"ICYMI: #KobeBryant‘s halftime interview at #NBAAllstarTO(@NBAonTNT)https://t.co/eF1T7Ua4Xg— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) February 15, 2016"

Though Lakers fans are certainly divided in terms of their opinions on LeBron because of the organic rivalry between James and Kobe, their friendship in spite of that is undeniable. Plus, hats off to Dwyane Wade for the subtle videobomb.

More from Lake Show Life

These are two players who have learned and grown a lot from playing against one another in the NBA since LeBron arrived on the scene in 2003 and they have delivered the fans some fantastic moments on the hardwood over the course of his career.

Even with all of those great moments, though, it’s hard to not get a good feeling inside you after watching something like this. How can you not love two contemporary all-time greats of the league enjoying their night in the spotlight together and a younger player helping make a retiring player’s final All-Star Game special?

Though Kobe’s performance in his final All-Star Game is going to be something that fans look back on, it’s moments like this that probably mean the most to Bryant in his final season. Long live Kobe Bryant and LeBron James as best friends, forever.
