Lakers’ second year man, Jordan Clarkson, served as D’Angelo Russell‘s publicist in a recent All Star Weekend interview
Jordan Clarkson, D’Angelo Russell and Kobe Bryant proudly represented the Lakers during All Star Weekend in Toronto and while most of the press followed The Black Mamba’s last ASG, Clarkson and Russell also had a moment in their post game presser.
When the duo was asked, what it felt like to be “unleashed a little bit” and be able to “show fully what you can do,” Clarkson answered,
"We was just having fun, just living in the experience of the game. I wouldn’t say we were unleashed, just… going out there and playing… having fun."
However, it’s what he muttered after his answer that has drawn the eyes of many. Before Russell can answer the same question, Clarkson whispers, “Don’t say nothin’ crazy,” to his back court mate.
Russell who hears, lets out a little chuckle, then also belts out a politically correct answer.
"I feel like that game is more of a confidence builder, it’s not really… I don’t know.. something you can’t really get too high or too low on if you didn’t play well, it doesn’t really mean too much. So, knowing that the real games in the season they’re totally different… it’s just a confidence builder."

The incident occurs right around 4:09 in the video and knowing the bromance that Jordan Clarkson and D’Angelo Russell have developed over the course of the season, it seems to imply that Russell has a less than positive opinion of Byron Scott‘s coaching, which makes sense.
Unlike what he did with his previous lottery pick point guards, Kyrie Irving and Chris Paul, Scott completely changed his approach with D’Angelo Russell, putting him on an extremely short leash, largely due in part to the fact that Kobe Bryant is on the team.

Scott recently revealed that Russell would start and finish games after the All Star Break but whether or not that happens only time will tell.
