5. Ante Zizic – Center – International

There’s no question that the Lakers are going to be making a transition in their frontcourt after this season. While Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr. undoubtedly play into that in a major way, there’s going to be a hole at center that needs to be filled. Though Tarik Black has shown promise and is beloved by fans, bringing in young prospects to help fill that void moving forward would be a wise choice and Ante Zizic is highly intriguing in that regard.

The 6-11 Croatian big man has been playing professionally overseas since he was 16 years old. Now 19 years old, the big man has proven he can produce in a professional environment, averaging 13.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 25.8 minutes per game in the Adriatic League. For such a young player, those are nice numbers for a guy with a nice inside presence already.

The only real concern with taking Zizic would be the fact that he’s likely going to stay overseas for at least one more year. That being said, if the Lakers want to stash him for a year, Zizic is a guy with high upside that LA would be foolish to not at least consider in the second round.
