Lakers guard, Kobe Bryant, will not be playing in Tuesday night’s contest against the Brooklyn Nets

Early Tuesday morning, it was revealed that Kobe Bryant would be sitting out against the Brooklyn Nets but will make the trip to Denver in order to play the Nuggets on Wednesday.

This decision makes a lot of sense seeing how we are nearing the end of the season and Kobe is just trying to make it to every opposing arena to give each fan base one last chance to say their goodbyes. Citing a sore right shoulder, it appears that Kobe is just preparing for the long haul.

Additionally, it returns to the previously assumed idea that Kobe would be sitting out one game of back-to-back situations.

In regards to Denver, considering his 2003 scandal in Colorado, it will be interesting to see how an arena that is notorious for heckling Bryant will treat him in his last game at Pepsi Center.

The Purple and Gold play the Nets Tuesday, who currently find themselves in a similar position as the Lakers, so it’ll be interesting to see how the two bottom dwellers come out and play.

Both teams have seemingly accepted their fate, fully understanding that at this point wins do nothing but hurt the accord.

That said, on a positive note, with Kobe Bryant out, it will be another chance for the Lakers youth initiative to finally get the playing time they so desperately need.

Who knows, maybe fans will even see a D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Anthony Brown, Julius Randle, Tarik Black/Larry Nance Jr line up?
