It’s finally the end of the road for Kobe Bryant both with the Los Angeles Lakers and in the NBA. After he takes the floor and either plays or is a part of 48 minutes on the floor against the Utah Jazz inside STAPLES Center on Wednesday night, Kobe Bryant will be retired and it’ll all be over.
Kobe Bryant has been in the NBA for 20 years and has put forth a career that will make him one of the all-time greatest players in the history of the league. He’s been one of the most maniacally competitive, successful, and simply legendary players in the history of the Lakers and this league and seeing him lace them up one more time is necessary for any Lakers fan or fan of the game.
It’s not just the fact that an all-time great is leaving the game, but it’s almost the official end of an era in the league as well, Kobe Bryant was the poster child for a certain era in the league as he carried the torch from the 90s into the new millennium and then onward from there. So seeing him go out only signifies that era coming to a close.
As such, Kobe Bryant’s last game of his career and with the Lakers is going to be must-watch TV and going to be something that no one will want to miss.
