The wait is finally over, Lakers’ guard Nick Young has broken his silence about the team’s ongoing search for a head coach and in hilarious fashion
If you do a quick Google search of “Nick Young Lakers,” more likely than not the links that pop up are going to be of the negative nature. Even before his ongoing feud with second overall pick and 20 year old, D’Angelo Russell, Young was consistently in head coach, Byron Scott‘s, dog house.
So when he took to Twitter Tuesday afternoon to address the team’s ongoing search for a replacement, it was a nice reminder of the lighthearted Nick Young that fans have grown to love.
In a succinct four word message, Young Tweeted “I’ll be yo coach,” in classic Nick Young fashion.
Arguably even more hilarious than the original post itself, were the replies to the Tweet which were just about as expected.

Even though he would almost assuredly be a significant upgrade over Scott, it is a shame to have to report that Young is currently not atop the front office’s list of viable candidates.
Currently, Nick Young’s future with the team is uncertain, especially as they try to clear as much cap space as possible for the upcoming free agency period, but hopefully we can see more of this side of him wherever he lands next season.
