The Los Angeles Lakers have officially released their 2016 preseason schedule
As of late, all of the hype surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers has involved the unknown. Who would become the Lakers new head coach? How will the Purple and Gold fill the void left by Kobe Bryant? Will LA retain their 2016 draft pick? Can the team finally lure some much needed big name free agents?
Now that the first question has been answered, and the rest are set to be revealed in the near future, with all the uncertainty in mind, it was nice when the Lakers official Twitter released the 2016 schedule for the preseason, finally providing just a bit of stability to the chaos of the offseason, however short it has been.
This may seem a bit early, considering that none of the second round series in the NBA Playoffs have even concluded yet, so the timing is strange to say the least. The Lakers’ first game will take place nearly five full months away on October 4 in Anaheim as they take on the Sacramento Kings.

The prospect of who will be wearing the Purple and Gold at that point in time is exciting to say the least.
Along with the Kings, the Lakers will also take on the Denver Nuggets, Portland Trailblazers, Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Ontario, San Diego and the aforementioned, Anaheim.
It will be nice to see how the young Lakers will fare without Kobe Bryant going forward but watching their play this season, paired with the fact that they will finally be getting the coach they deserve, the future looks bright in LA.

One thing that will be nice for fans looking to catch a game is that now that the Kobe Bryant Farewell Tour has finally come to an end, ticket prices will likely be considerably lower this season. That is, until the Purple and Gold lands their next big name superstar, hopefully something that occurs this summer.
