Often times when there are big men that are coming from overseas, especially big men that are under 20 years old and not veterans in European basketball, those players haven’t seen the floor that much in their brief time playing professionally. The fact that Ante Zizic is the exception to the rule is one of the reasons why the 19-year-old Croatian big man is so intriguing heading into this draft.

Last year in the Adriatic League, Zizic put up solid numbers in a sizeable role for a 19-year-old playing at such a level overseas. In 21 appearances throughout the year, the young Croatian put up 13.4 points, eight rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game. Playing in one of the best European leagues out there at such a young age and being given such ample opportunities to just see the floor truly speaks volumes about the talent that Zizic has.

As the Hawks could be less one big man with Al Horford hitting free agency, I’d expect them to look big at No. 21 to at least add another quality body to develop in the frontcourt. Zizic is a great way to go about doing that.

Next: No. 22 Hornets
