There are a lot of guys in this draft whose measurable really jump off the page and have to be entrancing to GMs and scouts throughout the NBA. No one fits that criteria more snugly than the 20-year-old Chinese prospect Zhou Qi who absolutely wowed everyone at the NBA Draft Combine with how he measured and the skill he has with that size.
Obviously the fact that Qi measured as a legitimate 7-2 at the combine is a huge positive in his favor. What’s more, though, is that Zhou Qi also measured even longer than that in terms of his wingspan, which measured 5.75 inches longer than his listed height. Moreover, he also showed that he’s not a stiff at that size and with that length as he registered a 32-inch max vertical leap at the combine as well. Toss in the fact that he can step away and knock down jumpers and he’s a ridiculous prospect.
However, Qi is another player with a slight frame that rightfully worries many teams. Moreover, he hasn’t seen much competition in China while playing. Even still, seeing a team like Phoenix with a plethora of picks take a chance would be a nice move.
