Trying to scout international prospects that don’t have a lot of tape on them and that haven’t played a lot in whatever league they’re in overseas can sometimes be a bit of a difficult task. That’s certainly the case when it comes to 19-year-old center Ivicia Zubac out of Bosnia and Herzegovinia.
Physically is where Zubac certainly stands out. At 19 years old, he has a tremendous frame as he stands at 7-1. What’s uncommonly great about his size and build for a big man his age, though, is the fact that he weighs in at a strong 265 pounds. He’s not one of the bean poles that would have to come in and be on a weight and diet program before he touches the floor.
With that being said, Zubac really hasn’t played much over the past two seasons in the Adriatic League, seeing the floor for just 11 games total over the past couple of years. He’s been solid when on the floor, but that he hasn’t seen the floor is a bit concerning.

Obviously the Warriors are in a great position, so they could afford to take a gamble on a player like Zubac—especially with Festus Ezeli potentially leaving in free agency.
