Lakers: Rapper Lil B Spares D’Angelo Russell From Curse
By Eric Yee
In hilarious news, rapper Lil B aka “The BasedGod” has decided to spare Lakers’ point guard, D’Angelo Russell from his infamous curse. Crisis averted.
If you follow NBA basketball you are well aware of rapper Lil B’s presence in the Association. Starting in 2011 when he decided to place a “curse” on Kevin Durant who called him a “whack” rapper, Lil B then moved on to James Harden for stealing his “cooking dance” which is commonly used as a three point celebration.
Seeing as how the pair formerly on the Oklahoma City Thunder have failed to bring home any championships, it’s settled, the proof is in the pudding, the curse is obviously 100 percent authentic. It’s ironic that Chris Paul and the Clippers aren’t on this list… I mean, they have to be, right?
With that in mind, Saturday the Los Angeles Lakers dodged a bullet that is the Lil B curse when the rapper revealed that he would be sparing Lakers’ sophomore point guard, D’Angelo Russell.
The rapper let it be known that he was thinking about “cursing deangelo Russell of the Lakers for setting up nick young” but ultimately decided to spare him because well, “the people have spoken.”

Russell may have gotten off lightly this time but as mentioned, “he has been warned.” Using the advice of Breaking Bad’s, Walter White, Russell would be wise to “tread lightly” for the time being.
It is not every day that you get a second chance at life, so the Los Angeles Lakers should take this as an opportunity to reevaluate their priorities and talk to their boy. (If I could insert a crying face emoji it would be inserted here.)
In all seriousness, the Lakers have a chance to right the wrongs done to them by David Stern and treading lightly in regards to what they do with their draft pick wouldn’t be the worst thing.
