1. Ability To Shoot From The Perimeter

At the end of the day, Brandon Ingram is a straight-up marksman, and if not for his precocious perimeter shooting ability, he probably wouldn’t even be a lottery selection.

This isn’t a knock on Ingram’s overall game – it just goes to show the extent to which Ingram can stroke the ball from long range.

From jab-steps to catch-and-shoot three pointers, Ingram was lethal from beyond the three point line, nailing more than 80 three pointers on a 41% clip.

Recently, in a draft prospect breakdown by ESPN Insider, Chad Ford, the draft guru revealed that Ingram’s 68 percent freethrow clip could be more telling about his possible shooting translation to the NBA as it is “better indicator of a player’s NBA 3-point shooting ability.” However, this was only  moments before saying that Ingram excelled in the shooting star drill.

Ultimately, the Los Angeles Lakers will have no say in the matter as they will have to select whoever the Philadelphia 76ers don’t take, and while Ben Simmons may have a higher ceiling going forward, Brandon Ingram’s fit with the Purple and Gold is something that cannot be ignored.
