The 2016 NBA Draft is just around the corner and teams would be wise to scout their prospects thoroughly before blindly selecting a player

Though Brandon Ingram and Ben Simmons are widely regarded as the top two picks in the upcoming NBA Draft, you’d be wrong if you think that even the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers aren’t doing their due diligence when it comes to scouting all of the top talent.

Just Monday, ESPN Insiders’ Chad Ford and Kevin Pelton made the argument that Dragan Bender could sneak into the conversation as a top two pick, just as Kristaps Porzingis did last season.

Nearly every season when it gets close to the draft, people begin to make pro comparisons for the top prospects — as of late the most notable was Jalen Rose’s awful attempt to do so.

While it’s easy to say that a prospect like Ben Simmons plays like the next Magic Johnson because he is big and can pass, or LeBron James because he is strong and fast, it also completely ignores the fact that both LeBron and Magic are two of the biggest outliers in NBA history.

With that in mind, here are some of our fair pro comparisons for the top prospects, obviously backed up with a little bit of rational.
