NBA Draft 2016: Pro Comparisons For the Top Draft Prospects
By Eric Yee
Kris Dunn – Dwayne Wade
The first thing I thought when I initially watched Kris Dunn play was “Ain’t that just like D Wade?”
Standing 6’4, 205 pounds Dunn may be a tad bit smaller than Wade but the resemblance could have something to do with the maturity that comes along with playing three full seasons of college basketball just like the man whose number he so coincidentally wears.
Some may knock the comparison because Dunn already seems more reliant on the three point shot but when comparing their college stats, they are actually quite similar percentage wise. Further, the generational gap could have something to do with this — this is to say, that kids these days just want to shoot threes. Thanks a lot, Steph.

Additionally, it must be mentioned that the college three point line is significantly closer than the NBA three, which would make Dunn’s three point attempts in actuality closer to mid range jumpers.
Another player I could see Dunn getting compared to is Washington Wizards’ guard, Bradley Beal, a player whose pre-draft measurements are actually a bit more comparable to Dunn’s than Wade’s were.
These three players hardly ever look to be out of sorts, as they are always calm and collected even under pressure. Further, their footwork is the basis of their excellence.
While Beal at this point seems to be the best shooter, Dunn could sneak up on some people this year just like C.J. McCollum did this season.
