Taking a look at the best and worst-case scenarios for the Lakers in the 2016 NBA Draft

The Los Angeles Lakers will most likely enter this draft with the No. 2 pick in both the first and second rounds. As such, they will be trying to add a pair of players who can make an impact for the team both this season and for the future. With a deep draft at positions of need, the Lakers should be in a good position to do exactly that.

However, whether this draft ends up being the final step in turning the organization around, or ultimately disappoints, will be determined both by the decision making of the front office and the players available for the team to select.

Trading the pick would likely be the worst possible scenario, but that possibility has already been written about at length and appears fairly unlikely at this point. Given the unlikeliness and the stupidity of it, we’ll assume that’s not the case as we dive into the best and worst-case scenarios for the Lakers in the draft.

In just a few weeks the Lakers will be given an opportunity to change their franchise for years to come and must be prepared accordingly. Fortunately for the fans, this front office has done an excellent of drafting in recent years, and will hopefully make the most of the selections they are given.

Now onto looking at what the best-case scenario would be for the Lakers.
