Five reasons that the Lakers should be watching the 2016 NBA Finals closely

After high drama throughout the NBA Playoffs, the 2016 NBA Finals are set with the Golden State Warriors ousting the Oklahoma City Thunder after an impressive comeback from a 3-1 deficit in the Western Conference Finals. Now the defending champions will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals once more.

Even the most casual fans of the NBA are going to be watching the NBA Finals intently. These were clearly the best teams from each conference in the regular season and the two that everyone wanted to see square off for the title. Even more intriguing is that the Cavaliers are now at full strength in terms of health, something that wasn’t the case in the Finals last season.

There’s clear intrigue in the NBA Finals, but there are some teams and some fans that have more of a vested interest in the series than any of the other 28 teams that aren’t still playing. One such team is undoubtedly the Los Angeles Lakers.

More than most teams that aren’t the Warriors or Cavaliers, the Lakers have a lot to be watching in this series in regards to their own interests. There are players that they need to keep an eye on, styles of play to learn from, and much more. The NBA Finals have the chance to be a definite beneficial experience for the Lakers and fans if they know what to look for.
