There is undoubtedly already a contingency of people that are seeing Brandon Ingram here at No. 2 and wondering what the hell is going on. Since the end of the college basketball season, Ingram’s stock as a sure-fire top-5 pick has risen and risen to the point now that many people believe him to be the No. 1 overall pick in the best player of the draft.

From where I’m sitting, it might not be a runaway race for that top spot anymore, but Ingram is still sitting at No. 2.

Make no mistake that Ingram has ridiculous potential at the next level. The hyper-lengthy and crazy athletic forward has the ability to not only attack and affect the game on both ends of the floor with his length, but his ability to step out onto the perimeter and knock down jumpers only makes him all the more dangerous. He needs to put on muscle, but he has tremendous upside.

If things go as planned and the 76ers take Simmons first-overall, Ingram will be there for the taking for the Lakers. Considering their need for shooting, length, and versatility, he would be an incredible fit on their roster and a player that makes a ton of sense to help them moving forward.
